Disney's 'Frozen' Teaser Trailer Sneak Peek
This teaser sneak peek for Disney's 'Frozen', their take on the Snow Queen, feels and looks like something more akin to the Pixar shorts you see before films. After seeing this, I'm not sure about watching the film. Still, you never know, it might yet be up to 'Tangled' / 'Wreck-It-Ralph' standards. Will have to see what the next trailer brings.
When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.'Frozen' is out in cinemas November 27 (US) and December 6 (UK).

Animated Short: 'Aurora' by Aimée de Jongh
'Aurora' is a short animated film by Aimée de Jongh and was part of the Ultrakort 2012 film programme, in which Dutch animators were given the opportunity to make a 2-minute film in six months. Every short film was screened before a blockbuster in all Pathé cinemas during the summer of 2012. "Aurora" was screened before "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter".
'Aurora' is based on a Dutch fairytale about spooky white apparitions that haunt the forests of the Netherlands. A young female is running from the haunting White Wives, but as she reaches her final destination, it turns out that nothing is what it seems.

Cool Art: 'Man Of Steel' Posters By Martin Ansin & Ken Taylor For Mondo
Wow! These are super cool posters from two of Mondo's legendary artists, Martin Ansin and Ken Taylor!
The Ken Taylor's poster measures 20″ x 36″ and costs $50 for the regular version and $75 for the variant. Martin Ansin's regular version, measures 24" x 36" and will also be $50, but if you want to go for the metal version, that's a bit more expensive. It's limited to only 100 copies and you'll have to pay $300.
And best thing is, Mondo will be doing something similar to what they did with the poster release of 'The Dark Knight Rises' by Olly Moss last year (One of the few Mondo prints I actually have). Instead of the normal limited edition sales, Mondo made the Batman design available for a full 24 hours. And today they've revealed that they will be doing something very similar for Man of Steel.
Mondo announced today via their official blog that Ken Taylor's prints will be on sale in the usual Mondo limited timed release, on sale this Thursday, June 13th, but Martin Ansin's regular print will be available for three straight days - 12:01AM CST on Friday, June 14th until 12:01AM on Monday, June 17th.

Cool Art: 'Hard Case Crime' Illustrated Pulp Art Covers
I love the art of the old pulp magazines and novels. It's where the work of such legendary artists like Robert McGinnis, Glen Orbik, Ron Lesser, Robert Maguire, Roy Krenkel Jr, J Allen St John and many more first caught my eye.
With some of the pulp heroes making a comeback in the world of comics, 'Hard Case Crime' is bringing back the pulp crime novels, complete with illustrated covers too!
Hard Case Crime is an American imprint of hardboiled crime novels founded in 2004 by Charles Ardai and Max Phillips, and is dedicated to reviving the vigor and excitement, the suspense and thrills—the sheer entertainment—of the golden age of paperback crime novels, both by bringing back into print the best work of the pulp era and by introducing readers to new work by some of today’s most powerful writers and artists. Determined detectives and dangerous women… fortune hunters and vengeance seekers… ingenious criminals and men on the run… Hard Case Crime novels offer everything you want from a great story, all in handsome and affordable editions.Check out a selection of the covers below, and go here for lots more.

Review: 'Doctor Who: Who-ology - The Official Miscellany' by Cavan Scott & Mark Wright
This unique tour of space and time celebrates the adventures of the BBC's Time Lord from the past 50 years. Who are the members of the Doctor's family? What are the 20 best ways to define a Dalek? What are the galactic coordinates for Gallifrey? If you don't know the answers then you certainly will after reading the amazing facts, figures and stories bursting from 'Doctor Who: Who-ology'. Get to know the ins and outs of the TARDIS, rediscover worlds like Trenzalore, and complete the list of terrific and terrifying monsters the Doctor has fended off over the past half-century. This official and thoroughly entertaining miscellany features drawings, charts and graphs throughout too.If you're a fan of 'Doctor Who', whether it's the classic series or the new rebooted series, I would recommend picking up this book, it covers it all and then some! Reading more like a digest of everything Whovian from the last 50 years, this hardcover book has it all.
From the very first episode, and all the way up until the 2012 Christmas special, the 384 pages are bursting with the facts and figures from the entire series. It's all presented very well in a hardback volume, with a cover illustrated by Lee Binding and accompanied by black and white interior illustrations by Ben Morris. 'Who-ology' details the timelines, actor biographies, character summaries, episode listings, fact compilations and quotations. There's a lot of detail for the casual fan to take in, yet not as much that a hard-core fan might expect, but it's still fun to flick through the pages and get lost in the mythology of the Doctor.
For the price, you can pick this up for less than a tenner, this is a book that fans of Doctor Who will enjoy. A perfect celebration of the longest running science fiction TV series.

Go Team Venture! The Return Of 'The Venture Bros' Is Nearly Here.
I love this show! I was introduced to 'The Venture Bros' after randomly flicking through the channels late one night, as you do, and was immediately hooked! And that was almost 10 years ago. I would totally recommend picking up the DVD/Bluray sets.
But if you don't have the boxsets of the four series so far, here's a full-on, get-you-up-to-speed-on-everything summation of the Ventureverse. Perfect for sending to friends who whine about watching all 55 episodes before Season 5 as you've suggested. Venture Bros Season 5 Premieres June 2nd at Midnight.

Check out this unused concept poster art for 'Star Wars'. No idea on the artist, but it could be Howard Chaykin who had designed a previous pre-production poster.
